Former Maidstone & District bus driver and driving instructor Donald Ham and his wife Patricia established Hams Travel back in 1962 with only 3 buses.
With extreme hard work and commitment they have expanded their business to a fleet in excess of 50 vehicles.
Now after 50 years of successful business Donald and Patricia are now enjoying spending their time with their Grandchildren. The company is now predominately operated by their two sons along with their daughter, son-in-law and experienced admin team at our main office and depot in Flimwell. We are conveniently situated on the A21 on the Kent / East Sussex border.
Our on site workshop at our Flimwell site is fully equipped with all the facilities that would be expected from a leading coach operator.
Over the years we have incorporated the businesses of Blue Link Holidays of Woods Corner and Davis's coaches of Hawkhurst. We have also taken over the work from Warrens Coaches who were based in Ticehurst and Fuggles Coaches, Benenden. Due to this expansion Hams Travel acquired their second depot in the former Fuggles premises in Benenden.
Along with our coaches and further admin team at Benenden there is also a family affiliated Coachworks specialising in bodywork repair and paint spraying.
Every vehicle in our fleet undergoes regular maintenance and safety checks in accordance with the current vehicle licensing regulations. We have a 100% pass rate with our yearly certificate of fitness tests on all vehicles.
