Service Disruptions

Highgate Hill Hawkhurst will not be served until further notice due to the road closed from the 9th May to late June 2025. Please use alternative bus stops ar Hawkhurst Moore or British Legion.  We apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. 

Bus services affected:

  • 5C - Normal route except Hawkhurst Moore not served. 
  • 267/268/269 - Normal route and timetable. 
  • 295 - Normal route and timetable except Hawkhurst moore not served. 
  • U1 - Will run from Johns Cross through Hurst Green and via A21 to Flimwell then direct to to Uplands Academy. A second, seperate bus will run from Hawkhurst Moore, whilst passengers Hawkhurst should use U2 which will be a double deck bus.
  • U2 - Normal route and timetable, but will be a double deck bus. All passengers from Hawkhurst to Uplands Academy should use this service.

At busy times we may not be able to get to the phone, or be engaged on other lines. We will try to answer your query as soon as possible.


After 5pm during weekdays & at all times during the weekend/bank holiday - calls are diverted for emergencies only. Booking and lost property enquiries are not dealt with during this time.


Flooding, snowfall and high winds can all affect our ability to run a service. We usually aim to assess any overnight changes by 6am, and updates to weather changes during the day will be updated as soon as possible. 


The best way to track our buses is by using a third-party website, bustimes.org . The tracking runs off the ticket machine in the vehicle and will update regularly provided it has a GPS signal. Services that don't use a ticket machine (closed door contracts) are unable to be tracked.
